Marianne McDonald
Tax Department Leader | Tax Partner
Marianne began her public accounting career with a regional firm in Metairie, Louisiana in the tax department. In 2000, she became a partner in a small local CPA firm in the New Orleans area, and in 2016 she joined a local firm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After Hurricane Ida hit Louisiana in 2021, Marianne moved to Texas and was welcomed into MRM in 2022 as a Senior Tax Manager. She works with a wide range of clients and focuses her efforts on tax compliance and planning for closely held small businesses, fiduciaries, and individuals.
She has a passion for serving clients and training new professionals in the tax arena.
Marianne has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of New Orleans and the designation of Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP) from the American College of Financial Services. She holds CPA licenses in Texas and Louisiana. She is a member of the AICPA and the Texas Society of CPAs.
Outside the office
Marianne grew up in the New Orleans area and currently resides in Frisco, Texas with her husband. Outside of the office, she enjoys gardening and baking. She also enjoys visiting small towns to learn about the history and to meet the people there.
